Every day there are 16 movies hiding in plain sight. Your job is to find the 4 groups of 4. Each group shares a hidden connection. Get all four and you win.
If exactly 3 of your 4 selected movies belong to the same group, you'll see a βOne away!βhint. You're nearly there. Swap one tile and try again.
Each time you correctly solve a group, a βDid you know?β panel appears below the board explaining the connection. It sometimes includes trivia facts about the movies in that group too. Hit Read more to expand the full explanation.
Each group has a colour that's revealed when you solve it. Harder groups are harder to see coming.
After the puzzle ends, tap Share Results to copy your emoji grid to the clipboard. Each row is a guess; each emoji is coloured by the actual group that movie belongs to, not the one you guessed. A row of matching emojis means a clean correct guess.
You can also tap Share Image to save or share a visual recap card, or hit Share on X to post directly to X (Twitter).
Some weeks, all seven daily puzzles are tied together by a shared theme, like a director's full filmography or a particular genre. When that happens, a theme banner appears above the board telling you what the week is all about.
Some puzzles are themed around specific movie plots, twists, or endings. If you haven't seen everything on the board, you may encounter spoilers. Individual category labels that contain spoilers are blurred by default. Tap the blurred text to reveal it.
A new puzzle drops every day at midnight local time. Your result is saved in your browser. No account needed.
Missed a day? Every past puzzle is available in the Archive. Archive plays are tracked separately from your daily streak. They show as indigo on your calendar rather than green.
After every puzzle you'll see your personal stats: total puzzles Played, how many you've Won, your current Streak, and your all-time Best streak. If you solved the puzzle, your completion time and personal best are shown too.
Below the stats is a 60-day calendarshowing a dot for every day. Green means you won, red means you missed it, indigo means you played it in the archive, and grey means you haven't played it yet. Tap any dot to jump to that puzzle.
